Last we we saw the release of the Walt Disney Pictures / Jerry Bruckheimer Films production of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and in August, we’ll get to see their next production, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice released. News of National Treasure 3 is progressing nicely and today we hear that the companies have purchased Terry Rossio and Bill Marsilii’s epic space adventure, Lightspeed for a cool .5m.
These are the same chaps who brought us Deja Vu which starred Denzel Washingotn and which, according to Variety, brought in 0m at the worldwide box office. Disney / Bruckheimer will be hoping for more of the same.
Variety:
The story centers on a young pilot who makes the Earth Interstellar Racing Team and must take his ship on a perilous journey across the galaxy on the brink of war.
Bruckheimer envisions the project as a live-action and potentially 3D pic.
More as we get it.
