Here’s the first official trailer for Despicable Me 3 which sees Gru back alongside his adorable Minions and daughters Margo, Edith and Agnes. This trailer joins the long list of HUGE movies that are set for release in 2017 alongside Dunkirk which had its trailer release just an hour prior to this, War For the Planet of the Apes, Transformers: The Last Knight and Fast and Furious 8 to name but a few.

Despicable Me 3 is set for release in the UK June 30th and will no doubt be as fun and silly as the previous 2 two outings. Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig both return to voice characters Gru and Lucy Wilde alongside Miranda Cosgrove (Margo), Dana Gaier (Edith) and Nev Scharrel as Agnes. Russell Brand joins the cast as Dr. Nefario, a new edition to the franchise.

We got to chat with both Steve Carell and Miranda Cosgrove (best known for playing iCarly) for Despicable Me 2 which was (astonishingly) back in 2013 even though it feels like yesterday! The previous two movies have brought in a whopping $1.5bn USD with the second outing just missing the coveted billion dollar mark. With spin-off movie Minions also smashing it out of the park at the box office, it’s no wonder this third installment is on the way (with no doubt more to follow).

Synopsis:

Joining Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig in Despicable Me 3 is Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award winner Trey Parker, co-creator of Comedy Central’s global phenomenon South Park and the Broadway smash The Book of Mormon. Parker voices the role of villain Balthazar Bratt, a former child star who’s grown up to become obsessed with the character he played in the ‘80s, and proves to be Gru’s most formidable nemesis to date.
