On the day after his sixty-seventh birthday veteran method actor Robert De Niro shows no sign of slowing down as The Wrap are reporting that he is in final negotiations to join the cast of Italian director Giovanni Veronesi’s next feature, Manual of Love 3, the final instalment of a trilogy (part’s one and two having been made in 2005 and 2007, respectively).
The part requires De Niro to speak Italian, but I’m sure after playing the lead in Bernardo Bertolucci’s 1976 epic 1900 (which clocks in at 315 min!) he’ll only require a quick refresher course on the language.
The former Taxi Driver can be next seen as part of the weird and wonderful ensemble in Robert Rodriguez’s ‘mex’ploitation flick Machete.
