As is the trend to report a shortlist for the fans and blogosphere to eat up, the Heat Vision post has Warner Bros. close to Aronofsky, whose forthcoming Black Swan is looking very impressive at the summer festivals, and while we’re clearly a long way from an official announcement it’s a clever tactic by WB to dangle these delicious prospects in front of us.
Aronofsky’s talent is undisputed and though I’d rather see him expend his creative energies on his own projects (same for Duncan Jones) this possibility does what it should – get people excited about the new Superman film if they weren’t already (at least until Justin Bieber is announced as SuperBoy).
