As you can see from Aronofsky’s tweet above, Nolte will be playing Watcher Samyaza, one of the “Nephalim” mentioned in Genesis 6:4. The Bible likens then to giants and they are said to have human mothers and angel fathers. This news also means that Nolte replaces Breaking Bad’s Mark Margolis, who was originally cast in the role back in 2012. His involvement with the movie is now unclear.
Star Russell Crowe meanwhile recently Tweeted the following after seeing an early cut of the movie.
“Saw @DarrenAronofsky #NOAH last night. Powerful piece of cinema. Hit me very hard. Beautiful work Darren.”
Noah is currently set to be released on March 28th, later this year.
