Robin

Batman is set to return to the big screen with Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader in 2016’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (and 2017’s Justice League movie), and fans are wondering which new aspects of the character Zack Snyder plans on exploring after Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy.

One character who has been kept off the big screen since the disastrous 1997 movie is Robin, and as it turns out, former Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is very interested in playing the sidekick.

In a recent interview, the British actor was asked if he would be interested in taking on another franchise after devoting so many years to the Boy Wizard, and he quitckly responded with, “Batman. If they reboot that again I’ll do that too. It’s happening, isn’t it? With Ben Affleck. I could be Robin, I’m perfect.”

Perfect? Well, when taking a closer look at the character, he’s not quite perfect!

Based on the comic books, the only version of the heroic sidekick that Radcliffe is suitable for would arguably be Red Robin, a.k.a. Tim Drake. He’s too young for Dick Grayson (who later becomes Nightwing and is rumoured to appear in Batman V Superman), nowhere near rough around the edges enough for Jason Todd (the vigilante later known as Red Hood), and too old for Batman’s son, Damian Wayne.

Would you guys like to see Radcliffe play Robin opposite Ben Affleck’s Batman?
