Dakota Johnson has landed herself a role in the upcoming Amazon comedy series ‘Rodeo Queens’ from creator Christy Hall.

The mockumentary-style comedy will follow an ensemble of Rodeo Queen hopefuls as they compete for the coveted crown.

Having created the series, Hall will also be a showrunner on the series. ‘Portlandia’ creator Carrie Brownstein will direct. Johnson will also serve as an executive producer.  Ro Donnelly and Elisa Ellis will also serve as executive producers.

Johnson can currently be seen alongside Tracee Ellis Ross as the put upon assistant in ‘The High Note’. He previous features include ‘Suspiria’ and ‘The Peanut Butter Falcon’. Her upcoming projects include ‘The Friend’ with Jason Siegel and Casey Affleck and Olivia Wilde’s ‘Don’t Worry, Darling’ where she will reunite with ‘The Peanut Butter Falcon co-star, Shia LaBeouf.

Hall is currently working on adaptation the Stephen King novel ‘The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon’. Brownstein is slated to make her feature directorial debut with MGM’s ‘Fairy Godmother.’
