Nick-Frost-in-Cuban-FuryJames Griffiths’ Cuban Fury is amongst our most anticipated films of the year, and for good reason. The British production boasts an all-star cast, led by Nick Frost, and it’s a comedy that we’ve been looking forward to for some time now.

The final video blog from the set debuted back in September last year, ahead of an expected release date on our shores this month. However, it looks like the film wasn’t quite as ready as we thought it was, which we’d begun to wonder since no trailer had surfaced.

Nick Frost has now taken to Twitter to announce that today is the final day of re-shoots, and we can’t wait to see the finished product.

Ok. Last day of Cuban Fury Re-shoots. It’s been a blast!

Let’s do this!

Frost is joined by the brilliant Rashida Jones, Chris O’Dowd, and Olivia Colman in the leading quartet. And the four are joined  by Ian McShane, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Rory Kinnear.

Beneath Bruce Garrett’s shabby, overweight exterior, the passionate beating heart of a salsa king lays dormant. Only one woman can reignite his Latin fire. Spotlight hits, sweat drips, heels click – Nick Frost IS Cuban Fury.

Griffiths (Episodes) is making his feature directorial debut, directing from a script penned by Jon Brown (Misfits), based on an original idea by Frost.

As of yet, there’s no word on when we can expect Cuban Fury to arrive in our cinemas now. But we do know that StudioCanal will be releasing it on our shores, and that eOne will be distributing it in the US. So with distribution in place, it’s just a matter of time. Here’s to hoping that the re-shoots will be the final touches, because this is definitely one we want to see soon.
