This year’s San Diego Comic-Con is almost upon us, and following the release of the first poster for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (which you can check out by clicking here), we now have brand new posters for Mad Max: Fury Road and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 made specifically for the event.
The tone is set nicely in the poster for George Miller’s highly anticipated Mad Max sequel/reboot as it shows Tom Hardy’s titular character standing by as an impending onslaught of wastlelanders head in his direction. The tagline is the rather brilliant and somewhat ironic: “What a Lovely Day”.
The cast of Mad Max: Fury Road also includes Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Riley Keough, Zoe Kravitz, Courtney Eaton, Rosei Huntington-Whiteley, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Nathan Jones, and Abbey Lee Kershaw. After years of delays, it’s currently set to be released on May 15th, 2015.
The new poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is a little harder to decipher, but it’s a very eye catching piece of artwork by WK Interact. Unfortunately, Lionsgate aren’t planning on bringing the movie to this year’s Comic-Con, but the first full-length trailer for the highly anticipaed movie is said to be on the way.
Jennifer Lawrence returns as Katniss Everdeen and will be joined by Josh Hutcherson, Donald Sutherland, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Stanley Tucci, Jena Malone, and Julianne Moore for a November 21st release, later this year.
