A press conference – featuring stars Michelle Rodriguez and Aaron Eckhart, director Jonathan Liebesman and producer Neil Moritz – was held earlier today at Comic-Con to showcase Sony’s upcoming sci-fi/war drama, Battle: Los Angeles.

Synopsis: A platoon of Marines take on an alien invasion throughout Los Angeles.

Eckhart and Rodriguez discussed their roles in the film, both actors had to endure a intense training period at a boot camp to prepare themselves physically and mentally for the film.

Moritz stated the film focuses on “one marine battalion’s point-of-view of a worldwide invasion.” Liebesman went onto say that he “wanted to go back to making aliens feel really alien”, as well as making them look like “a real army.”

The panel also debuted three official images from the upcoming feature film which, by the sounds of it, promises to be one of  the most explosive, action-packed films to be released in 2011.
