Christoph-WaltzAfter bringing one of the funniest and most memorable comedies to the big screen in recent years with Horrible Bosses, New Line is about to get underway on the sequel, and casting on Horrible Bosses 2 is starting to shape up very nicely.

Earlier in the month, word surfaced that Chris Pine was lining up to join the cast. At the time, it was thought that Christoph Waltz was being eyed to play Pine’s on-screen father, but it was expected that his busy schedule was likely to get in the way.

It looks like the studio and Waltz have managed to work things out now, though, with Variety reporting that the actor has entered negotiations for the role, with production beginning in the first week of November this year in Los Angeles.

Waltz and Pine are set to play a father-son duo who terrorise the main characters, with the brilliant trio of Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, and Charlie Day all returning for the second slice.

Jamie Foxx is also on board to return as the ingeniously-named Motherf**ker Jones, with Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey just closing their deals to reprise their roles from the original too.

Sean Anders (Sex Drive, We’re the Millers) is at the helm this time around in Seth Gordon’s place, with original co-writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein once more penning the script.

Horrible Bosses 2 is now due to hit cinemas on November 26th, 2014, in perfect time for the Thanksgiving weekend next year.
