Vendetta Films have released the debut trailer for Cheerful Weather for the Wedding.
Written and directed by Donald Rice, Cheerful Weather for the Wedding is an adaptation of Julia Strachey’s acclaimed novella of the same name, and stars Felicity Jones (Like Crazy), Luke Treadaway (Attack the Block) and Elizabeth McGovern (Once Upon a Time in America).
The film centers on Dolly (Jones), whose nuptials are thrown into chaos when a previous lover, Joseph (Treadaway), makes a reappearance.
Cheerful Weather for the Wedding premiered at the 11th annual Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year to mostly positive reviews, and was recently released by Vendetta in New Zealand.
A UK release date is currently unknown. But, based on the subject material, talent involved and typically English style, it wouldn’t be a surprise if this one crops up at the 56th BFI London Film Festival next month before opening nationwide early next year.
