Charlize Theron has been cast in Oscar-winner Alfonso Cuaron’s ‘Jane’ at Amazon Prime Video.

Based on the personal life of celebrated sci-fi novelist Philip K. Dick and his relationship with his twin sister Jane, who died six weeks after being born.

The movie is said to be a “moving, suspenseful and darkly humorous story,” it focuses on a woman’s unique relationship with her brilliant, but troubled twin, who also happens to be Philip K. Dick.

While attempting to rescue her brother from predicaments both real and imagined, Jane plunges deeper and deeper into the fascinating world of his creation.

Growing up without his twin heavily impacted Dick’s creative work and legacy which included such stories as ‘Minority Report,’ ‘The Man in the High Castle’ and ones that would be turned into famed films like ‘Blade Runner’ and ‘Total Recall.’

Dick’s daughter Isa Hackett will produce and says of this experimental reimagining of her deceased aunt: “It is her story we will tell, her lens through which we will see him and his imagination. There is no better way to honour him than to grant him his wish, if only for the screen.”

Theron, Cuaron, Gabriela Rodriguez, Beth Kono, AJ Dix, Sarah Scougal and Kalen Egan will also produce.
