The latest trailer for Neill Blomkamp’s forthcoming film, Chappie, is here and it suggests a far darker world than we expected from the director of District 9 and Elysium
Looking at the new elements of this trailer the players are introduced with their hearts, so to speak, on their sleeves. Hugh Jackman and Dev Patel are placed at opposite ends of the moral spectrum, with the relationship between machine and man in the balance.
I’m an unashamed fan of Blomkamp’s work, and I was the one who loved Elysium. The worlds he creates may be tonally similar but there’s no doubting the are evocative, emotional landscape coloured with some astonishing CG work.
The 6th of March is our launch day across the world. Fingers crossed for this one.
