Marvel have just announced that the sequel to Captain America will land in cinemas on the 4th of April 2014 so you can start getting excited right after seeing The Avengers, stopping by your local cinema a couple of times in May for Iron Man 3 and then in mid-November 2013 for Thor 2.
Joss Whedon’s The Avengers/Assemble is only a few weeks away and the news that a sequel to Captain America is in the works is no great surprise with the aforementioned sequels already in production. Marvel also revealed that the film ‘will pick up where The Avengers leaves off as Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world.’
Obviously there’s no word yet on who will replace Joe Johnston behind the camera but it seems clear that we’ll be seeing many more Avengers movies for years to come.
