The ballroom doors are about to reopen, silk masks shimmering, secrets swirling like candle smoke. The second half of ‘Bridgerton’s’ fourth season is nearly here, and romance is once again sharpening its quill. Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for part 2.

From Shondaland and showrunner Jess Brownell, the beloved Regency drama continues its fairy-tale-inspired fourth season with a story centred on bohemian second son Benedict Bridgerton. Played by Luke Thompson, Benedict has long resisted society’s expectations of marriage—much to the concern of matriarch Violet, portrayed by Ruth Gemmell.

Everything changes at Violet’s lavish masquerade ball, where Benedict encounters a masked “Lady in Silver” who leaves him utterly spellbound. Determined to uncover her identity, he turns—reluctantly—to the help of his sharp-minded sister Eloise (Claudia Jessie).

Yet the truth is far removed from glittering ballrooms. The mysterious woman is Sophie Baek, a resourceful maid played by Yerin Ha, working under the formidable Lady Araminta Gun (Katie Leung). When fate draws Benedict and Sophie together again, he finds himself torn between fantasy and reality—unaware they are one and the same.

Part 2 deepens the emotional stakes as Benedict struggles to reconcile class, desire, and perception. Can love truly transcend the rigid hierarchies of Regency society, or will illusion shatter something real before it fully blooms?

Around them, the Bridgerton family’s evolving romances offer both inspiration and complication. Francesca (Hannah Dodd) navigates married life with John Stirling (Victor Alli), while Colin and Penelope’s union faces new scrutiny as Penelope—played by Nicola Coughlan—steps into the light as a publicly known gossip columnist. And, of course, the ever-watchful voice of Lady Whistledown still lingers, embodied by Julie Andrews.

Season 4 Part 2 welcomes back a sweeping ensemble, including Jonathan Bailey, Adjoa Andoh, Golda Rosheuvel, Polly Walker, Martins Imhangbe, Florence Hunt, Will Tilston, Hugh Sachs, Emma Naomi, Lorraine Ashbourne, Masali Baduza, and Daniel Francis.

Additional key cast members include Simone Ashley, Isabella Wei, Michelle Mao, and Katie Leung, enriching Benedict and Sophie’s unfolding story with new alliances and tensions.
