Brendan Fraser has joined Martin Scorsese’s ‘ Apple TV+ feature ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’.

Fraser will join Jesse Plemons who is said to be taking on the role of FBI agent Tom White, the role in which Leonardo DiCaprio initially signed up for before opting for the role of Ernest Burkhart, who is the nephew of a powerful local rancher. Plemons also joins Robert De Niro as the strong-handed rancher and Lily Gladstone who will play the role of Mollie Burkhart. Fraser will play lawyer WS Hamilton.

The true-crime thriller is set in the 1920s and the story focuses on the Osage Nation were the richest people per capita in the world after oil was discovered under their land. And then they were murdered, one by one. As the death toll rose, the newly created FBI took up the case and unravelled a chilling conspiracy and one of the most monstrous crimes in American history.

Eric Roth has adapted the script, Scorsese will take the helm and produce for Apple Studios and Imperative Entertainment. Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas for Imperative will also produce alongside DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions.

In other Brendan Fraser news, the actor has also joined the cast of ‘Brothers’ alongside Josh Brolin, Peter Dinklage and Glenn Close. Story details remain vague at this stage but sources say that the project is in the vein of the classic comedy ‘Twins,’ the 1988 Ivan Reitman film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito.
