‘A Simple Favour’ actress, Blake Lively, has signed up to star and produce post-apocalyptic thriller ‘Dark Days At The Magna Carta’ at Netflix.

The feature is described as a character-driven thriller set against a catastrophic event and centres on a woman going to extreme lengths to survive and save her family. A world-altering event is at the basis of the plot and themes of isolation and strength of family emerge.

Coming from scribe Michael Paisley, the story is said to be a trilogy, giving Lively her first franchise to work with.

Lively will produce the project through her B for Effort banner along with Kate Vorhoff. Shawn Levy will produce via his 21 Laps banner with partner Dan Cohen.

Lively was last seen starring opposite Jude Law in the action drama ‘The Rhythm Section’. Her previous work includes ‘A Simple Favour’, ‘The Shallows’, ‘All I See is You’ and ‘The Age of Adaline’.

Paisley has made a name for himself rather quickly, just two years ago the talented scribe was working in the mailroom at CAA. He has since gone on to work as a writer’s production assistant on the Netflix fantasy series ‘The Witcher’In November last year, he sold his first story to STX, a horror titled ‘Doll House’.
