If the previous two trailers for Aaron Sorkin’s much anticipated return to television haven’t ensnared you then why not take this new look at his forthcoming HBO series a spin?
It’s more of the same behind the scenes shenanigans of a cable news show on the brink of becoming a televised anachronism and this particular tease offers us a little of the dynamic between disgruntled anchor Will McAvoy (given body and voice by Jeffrey Daniels) and his new producer. It’s always good to see Emily Mortimer on screen and to walk (and talk) the walk with Sorkin’s dialogue is a gift which instantly raises a performance.
The show premiers on HBO on the 24th of June, which is too long frankly.
