To celebrate the release in the US of the new boxing film Kid Snow, which opens this weekend, we had the pleasure of sitting down with the star of the film to find out more.

KID SNOW was recently nominated for an AACTA Award (Australia’s equivalent to the Oscars) for Best Actress for his co-star, Phoebe Tonkin (The Originals), and hits US theaters on February 14th following its premiere at the Sydney Film Festival. Set in a 1970s sweat-drenched world of tent boxing in outback Western Australia, Kid Snow is a film about breaking free from the cycle of loss and regret.

Howle, known for his performances in On Chesil Beach and last year’s hit Netflix series The Perfect Couple, talks to us about stepping outside his comfort zone for his new role, which sees him become a tent boxing fighter in the film. He talks about the training for the film, the real fight going on with his character’s demons, filming in a remote location with nothing but desert surrounding them, discipline and focus for the role,e and working with the film’s acclaimed director and cast. We also talk about the social media impact of The Perfect Couple’s opening dance scene, something many people have tried to emulate…
