Bel Powley is the latest amongst a line of actors added to the cast of the highly anticipated ‘Harry Potter’ series.
Powley and Daniel Rigby will star as the elder Dursleys in the upcoming small-screen adaptation of the J.K. Rowling book series. Yet to be cast is their son, Dudley. Petunia was the sister of Harry’s mother, Lily. The Dursleys grudgingly take Harry in after his parents’ death, forcing him to live in a cupboard under the stairs and essentially treating him like a servant rather than their nephew. The pair were originally played by Fiona Shaw and Richard Griffiths in the film franchise.
Also added to the show’s cast are Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy and Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, and Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge.

Per the official description, the series will be a faithful adaptation of the globally recognised J.K. Rowling book series. Exploring every corner of the wizarding world, each season will bring ‘Harry Potter’ and its incredible adventures to new and existing audiences.
The series is written and executive produced by Gardiner, who also serves as showrunner. Mylod will executive produce and direct multiple episodes of the series for HBO in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television. The series is executive produced by author J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, and Ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV, and David Heyman of Heyday Films.
