Amazon Studios have released the first trailer for Felix van Groeningen’s Beautiful Boy featuring Steve Carell and man of the moment, Timothée Chalamet.

The upcoming biographical drama chronicles meth addiction and recovery through the eyes of a father (Steve Carell) who watches his son Nic (Timothée Chalamet) as he struggles with the addiction.

Directed by Felix van Groeningen, the film stars Timothée Chalamet, Steve Carell, Maura Tierney and Amy Ryan.

Based on the memoir “Beautiful Boy” by David Sheff and “Tweak” by his son, Nic Sheff, Beautiful Boy chronicles the heartbreaking and inspiring experience of survival and recovery in a family coping with addiction over many years.
