Yesterday we posted about a BBC slip up that had them showing off the Halo UNSC logo which was meant to be the UN logo. At the time we wasn’t sure if it was just a hoax or a genuine blunder from the broadcaster.
As it turns out, the error was very real as the BBC have now released an apologetic statement to Eurogamer for the foul-up.
“very occasionally mistakes do happen”.
“BBC News makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all images broadcast, however very occasionally mistakes do happen,” it said in the Statement
“Unfortunately an incorrect logo was used during a segment on last week’s News at One bulletin and we apologise to viewers for the mistake. The image was not broadcast in our later bulletins.”
Just goes to show, more haste, less speed when searching for an image.
