This morning brought us a fantastic 13-minute TV special ahead of The Dark Knight Rises’ release on 20th July, and now the afternoon brings us something a little different.

Ahead of the British Grand Prix this weekend, Johnny Herbert, British F1 driver from 1989-2000, took Bane’s tumbler for a spin for the Sky F1 Show.

Things to ignore/be amused by in the video:

– The description of it as ‘Batman’s car’
– ‘I definitely feel like the Joker’

As you’ll already be well aware, Christian Bale is back for one final outing as the Dark Knight, and joining him will be an incredible cast, headed up by Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Juno Temple, and Marion Cotillard.

Christopher Nolan brings us the epic conclusion to his and brother Jonathan Nolan’s Batman trilogy, which began back in 2005 and will end in just twelve days’ time.

“Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “The Dark Knight Rises” is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive.  Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good.  For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda.  Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile.  But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.”

The Dark Knight Rises will be released in regular and IMAX theatres on 20th July. If it wasn’t already, commit that date to memory now – this is going to be immense. (And now for something a little different.)
