Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for ‘Bad Apples,’ a darkly comic thriller led by Academy Award nominee Saoirse Ronan.

Directed by Jonatan Etzler, ‘Bad Apples’ follows Maria (Ronan), a dedicated primary school teacher determined to inspire her class of 10-year-olds. Despite her best efforts, one disruptive pupil continually throws the classroom into chaos, leaving Maria struggling to keep both her students and her career on track.

As the child’s increasingly volatile behaviour pushes her to breaking point, Maria makes a shocking mistake. She accidentally takes the troublesome student home and locks him inside her house. What begins as a panic-fuelled accident quickly becomes an impossible situation as she desperately attempts to undo her actions.

Unfortunately for Maria, the absence of the class’s most disruptive pupil has an unexpected consequence. The classroom begins to thrive, the children flourish academically, and both parents and school staff celebrate the remarkable turnaround. With everyone convinced the school has finally solved its biggest problem, Maria finds herself trapped in an increasingly absurd and morally complicated predicament.

Joining Saoirse Ronan is a supporting cast featuring Eddie Waller, Nia Brown, Jacob Anderson, Rakie Ayola, Robert Emms, and Sean Gilder.
