Avengers: Infinity War (and the currently untitled sequel) doesn’t start shooting until this November, but directors Joe and Anthony Russo are already hard at work preparing to bring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes back to the big screen for likely their most epic adventure yet.

As you can see below, the Russo Brothers have taken to Facebook to share an image of them in Marvel’s new home of Pinewood Atlanta alongside Josh Brolin in a mo-cap suit.

He’ll obviously need that to play the Mad Titan Thanos, a villain who has made brief appearances in The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

There are currently no plans for him to show up in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 according to director James Gunn, so we’ll be waiting until Infinity War to finally see him heading into action against both them and The Avengers. While it was Vin Diesel who confirmed that the Guardians will be showing up in this movie, we don’t know which characters will take centre stage in Infinity War. We do however know that Steve Rogers won’t be Captain America!

Avengers: Infinity War is set to be released on May 4th, 2018, while the follow-up will then open on May 3rd, 2019. Originally titled “Part II”, the direction that will take is now unclear.
