Avengers: Age of Ultron is now in cinemas across the world, and has already crossed the $600 million mark at the worldwide box office after only 12 days of release. Avengers: Age of Ultron isn’t a movie crammed with them, but there are plenty of nods to the past and future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not to mention a lot of other moments even the most hardcore comic book fans might have missed on a first viewing.

Winter Soldier

Captain America: The Winter Soldier ended with Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson preparing to track down The Winter Soldier, but the former’s duties with The Avengers have clearly distracted him from that task. Not to worry though, as The Falcon has taken over in his absence, and it’s that which the duo refer to when they talk about a lack of progress on their “Missing Person’s Case”.

Interestingly, Wilson mentions having no interest in joining the ranks of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, but was part of Captain America’s new squad by the end of the sequel. Will Steve end up using that team to try and find his former sidekick in Civil War?
