Cornish and co were on hand tonight to talk up the film, which more than lives up to the hype surrounding it and will easily find a place in my top ten of 2011. It’s amazing what the director managed to achieve with the relatively small budget and his direction is incredibly assured for a debut feature, but for many the standout will be the stunning cast, notably the main gang of boys who fend off the alien invasion.

There is so much to enjoy in the film, and I hope it is welcomed with open arms as it rolls across the globe – it certainly deserves to and one of the questions we asked Joe was the possibility that the film would be subtitled in the US, which was rumoured to be on the cards following SXSW however according to the director this is unlikely – let’s hope this doesn’t change.

We also managed to speak to members of the cast including Jodie Whittaker, John Boyega, Nick Frost and Luke Treadaway and you can see the footage below.

Attack the Block is out on the 11th of May, and for those who are aware of the extraordinary buzz about the film I have only one word: Believe.
