Written by Jolie, the film, currently untitled, will cost roughly $15M to develop and feature local actors and actresses from the Bosnia and Herzegovina areas.

Jolie, when discussing the film, has been quoted as saying:

“The film is a love story, not a political statement” […] “I would like to involve as many local people as possible and learn as much as I can.”

Jolie continued:

“After seeing these people and hearing their stories, I cannot overemphasise the need to focus on the well-being of the most vulnerable individuals of the population” […] “ending displacement and ensuring quality of life, we can help to promote progress and long-term stability”.

The untitled film, a tale of a Bosnian woman who falls in love with a Serbian military man, will shoot on location in the Autumn.
