Yesterday saw the release of the first teaser trailer for Steven Spielberg’s motion capture re imagining of everybody’s favourite ginger detective Tintin. Armed with his trusty dog sidekick Snowy, Spielberg’s CGI project divided the blogging masses like a large knife through room temperature I-Can’t-Believe-It’s-Not-Butter.
Today sees the unveiling of Tintin’s US poster artwork and boy is it exciting. Certainly more dark and sinister looking than the UK’s offering, boy wonder à l’orange is set against a puddle drenched harbour background dressed in a long coat that may have been borrowed from your local flasher’s wardrobe.
It’s all very ominous isn’t it? Is La Roux playing Tintin?! Why isn’t Snowy on a lead in a public place?! All is to be revealed in the coming months we imagine.
Tintin hits UK shores 26th October 2011 and stars Jamie Bell, Daniel Craig, Nick Frost, Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Mackenzie Crook, Daniel Mays & Toby Jones.
