After the 2009 Biggie Smalls biopic, Notorious was released, chatter started making the rounds that a biopic on his once good friend turned bitter enemy, Tupac Shakur, should quickly follow. However, it wasn’t until 2011 an announcement was made that the film was in the pipeline.

After a number of years trying to get the project off the ground the film on the life and death of one of Hip Hop’s iconic legends is finally set for a release on June 30th this year. Playing Tupac is newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr., reprising his role from Notorious as Biggie Smalls is Jamal Woolard both will be joined by Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) Jada Pinkett, Lauren Cohan (The Walking Dead, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice) as Leila Steinberg, Hill Harper (Limitless) and Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead) as Afeni Shakur and has Benny Boon taking the helm.

After such a long wait, the trailer for the anticipated All Eyez on Me as surfaced, in the trailer we see Tupac as a young boy under the influence of his mother and stepfather in the midst of the Black Panther movement, to entering the studio and donning the ‘Thug Life’ mentality.
