We’re a few short weeks away from our return to the world of xenomorphs, Engineers and origin of all life, alien or otherwise. Alien: Covenant is the second prequel to Ridley Scott’s 1979 horror classic, and follows on from the harrowing events of 2012’s Prometheus. This new prologue bridges the two films, providing an answer to the question of what happened to Noomi Rapace’s Dr. Elizabeth Shaw and Michael Fassbender’s David.

Prometheus Epilogue/Alien: Covenant Prologue
The 19th of May is when Alien Covenant will be released in cinemas across the globe. If this one does well we may well see more Alien films, with another sequel written and already plans for many more. Fun!
Also previewed yesterday (on a clever use of the 4/26 date – proclaimed as Alien Day) was the new Oculus ‘In Utero’ VR Experience produced by Ridley Scott. A preview videos is below, showing off the harrowing moment of birth. Amazing.
Further world building comes in the form of these recently released crew transmissions from the new ship Covenant. Also from a time before the film starts, it’s fun to see the crew before everything kicks off.
Here’s another poster for the film, teasing a close encounter for Katherine Waterston.
