Next Wednesday, Marvel are releasing an Ant-Man prelude comic book set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will focus on Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) years before he met Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), and is set during the Cold War. Surprisingly, a first look at the issue may reveal Peggy Carter’s (Hayley Atwell) role in the film!

We already know that the Agent Carter star will make an appearance in Ant-Man alongside John Slattery, who will reprise his Iron Man 2 role as an older Tony Stark, but it’s believed that those scenes will take place in the ’60s though (with Hank Pym possibly revealed to be one of the founding members of S.H.I.E.L.D.).

As you can see below, Ant-Man stays friendly with Peggy as an older version of the character can be seen apparently recruiting Pym for some sort of mission. Atwell played an elderly Peggy in Captain America: The Winter Solider, and can currently be seen in her own TV series. She’s also cameoed in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The official description for Ant-Man Prelude #1 says, “Before Scott Lang becomes Marvel’s shrinking sensation, Dr. Hank Pym will pull on the helmet and leap into action on a death-defying mission that will take him into the icy heart of Cold War East Berlin!” It will be interesting to see what else it reveals!
