Julianne Moore interviewed by DaniElle DeLaite for her movie After the Wedding,  which is directed by her husband Bart Freundlich and also stars Michelle Williams. The movie is a remake of a Danish film directed by Susanne Bier, and deals with secrets kept, both professional and personal, when the past returns to haunt the present. The film stars Billy Crudup, Will Chase, Abby Quin, Doris McCarthy and Eisa Davis.

The original film, directed by Susanne Bier and starring Mads Mikkelsen and Sidse Babett Knudsen, was released in 2006 under the name Efter Brylluppet. It was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film that year.

Julianne Moore talks about the decision to reinvent the film, how the change in gender of the characters affected some of the dynamics in play, and how the discussion of who should lead the film was solved with an email to Michelle Williams.

After the Wedding will be released in US cinemas on the 9th of August, and on the 1st of November in the UK.
