These may not be names that will be familiar to many of us, but Adrian Askarieh has a track record of setting up video game and comic book adaptations such as Hitman and Kane & Lynch with Hollywood studios and Bill Block was a producer on acclaimed sci-fi pic District 9.

The two of them are now said to be working together to produce “Alien Sleeper Cell” which looks set to be a film about aliens but about which further details are proving to be difficult to come by. The idea for the film was apparently conceived by production assistant Felipe Linz and the script is now being worked on by Morgan Davis Foehl, who previously worked on the editing of Adam Sandler comedies “Click” and “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry” and is now trying his hand as a screenwriter. His adaptation of the comic book Crosshair for Mandeville Films is said to be garnering some buzz, so perhaps he will prove to be a name to look out for in the coming years.

Once the script is done, Askarieh and Block will head out into the big wide world to either seek independent financing or find a studio to partner on the production.

As always, more news as we get it.
