The first trailer for the biopic that tells the story of multi-award American journalist and war correspondent Marie Colvin, A Private War, has been released.

Rosamund Pike plays the role of Marie Colin, the journalist who covered wars and conflicts for The Sunday Times from 1985 until 2012. Stakes were high for the journalist who lost the sight in one eye in Sri Lanka in 2001 and then ultimately her life in a Syrian rocket attack in 2012.

Jamie Dornan, Stanley Tucci and Tom Hollander also star in the film.

Also in trailers – Ben Mendelsohn has a few life issues in trailer for The Land of Steady Habits

The film is released into US cinemas November 2.

A Private War Synopsis

One of the most celebrated war correspondents of our time, Marie Colvin is an utterly fearless and rebellious spirit, driven to the front lines of conflicts across the globe to give voice to the voiceless.
