The BBC really know how to do good drama, this year they are giving us yet another adaptation of Charles Dickens ‘A Christmas Carol’ but this time from the makers behind series’ ‘Taboo’ and ‘Peaky Blinders’. The new trailer promises one dark and gruesome take on the classic tale.

From the creator of Peaky Blinders and the producers of ‘Taboo’, Steven Knight, the mini-series is executive produced by Ridley Scott and Tom Hardy.

Guy Pearce stars as Ebenezer Scrooge alongside Andy Serkis who plays the role of the Ghost of Christmas Past, Stephen Graham as Jacob Marley, Charlotte Riley as Lottie, and Joe Alwyn as Bob Cratchit. Vinette Robinson, Jason Flemyng, Kayvan Novak, and Lenny Rush are also in the ensemble cast.
