Apple TV has unveiled the official trailer for the second season of its acclaimed comedy series ‘Bad Monkey,’ with Vince Vaughn returning as the irreverent detective Andrew Yancy for another round of Florida crime, eccentric characters and unexpected chaos.
Starring and executive produced by Vaughn, the new season finds Yancy caught up in another bizarre criminal investigation after witnessing the murder of Florida’s finest fixer. An ambitious state attorney subsequently teams him up with a straight-laced forensic accountant to get to the bottom of the crime.
However, the investigation soon pulls Yancy into a dangerous turf war between rival criminal organisations. Along the way, he encounters an assortment of Florida oddballs, including an erudite mob boss, his unhinged son and a hard-edged young woman who finds herself in need of Yancy’s protection.
Away from the criminal underworld, Yancy has plenty of personal complications to contend with. These include his aging father, unresolved romantic tension with Dr. Rosa Campensino (Natalie Martinez), who embarks on her own investigation into a mysterious rash, and a bombastic animal relocation specialist whose business poses a threat to the local environment.
Vaughn leads the returning cast alongside Natalie Martinez, Charlotte Lawrence and John Ortiz. Season two also welcomes an impressive collection of new additions, including John Malkovich, Yvonne Strahovski and Zavior Phillips.
Guest stars this season include Caleb Landry Jones, Nate Jackson, Sofia Boutella, Brent Morin, Joey Avery, Dax Shepard, Sam Jaeger, Margarita Levieva, Peter Billingsley and June Diane Raphael.
Developed by award-winning creator and executive producer Bill Lawrence, ‘Bad Monkey’ is based on Carl Hiaasen’s New York Times bestselling novel and enduring cult favourite. The 10-episode second season will tell an entirely new original story, bringing Yancy back into a fresh collection of Florida-based investigations and absurd encounters.

‘Bad Monkey’ Season 2 premieres globally on Apple TV on Wednesday, December 2, 2026, with one episode, followed by a new episode every Wednesday through February 3, 2027.
