True Brit Entertainment has unveiled the trailer for ‘500 Miles,’ a windswept, heart-thumping road movie that trades petrol for poetry and turns the British Isles into a canvas of reconciliation.
Described as a life-affirming celebration of the human spirit, ‘500 Miles’ follows two runaway brothers whose impulsive escape forces their fractured family to confront what they have been running from all along.
At the heart of the story are Finn and Charlie, played by Roman Griffin Davis and Dexter Sol Ansell. Fleeing their battling parents, the boys set off from Yorkshire on an epic journey stretching over land and sea toward Ireland’s rugged west coast. Their destination is Dingle, County Kerry, where their estranged grandfather awaits.
While the boys chase horizons, their desperate parents, portrayed by Clare Dunne and Michael Socha, spiral between fear and regret. The trailer crackles with emotional urgency as home becomes both a memory and a question mark.
Adding spark to the odyssey is free-spirited busker Cáit, played by Maisie Williams, who becomes an unlikely guardian angel on the road. Meanwhile, the boys’ grandfather is brought to life by BAFTA winner Bill Nighy, promising gravitas and warmth in equal measure.
Directed by BAFTA winner Morgan Matthews and written by Malcolm Campbell, the film adapts Mark Lowery’s Charlie and Me: 421 Miles from Home.
