British crime-thriller is one of the final films to be added to the TIFF line-up this week, and with the addition comes four new images from the film, giving us a look at its leading stars, with Luke Treadaway (Attack the Block) particularly battered and bruised in one.

Joining Treadaway will be the brilliant Iwan Rheon (who you’ll no doubt love from Misfits), Matthew Lewis (Harry Potter), Gerard Kearns (Shameless), Timothy Spall (Harry Potter), and Vanessa Kirby (The Hour).

“Battered, bruised and under arrest, Harvey Miller sits in a police interview room facing interrogation. Clutching a stack of eyewitness statements, Detective Inspector West has no doubt as to Harvey’s part in a foiled robbery, and his subsequent attempted murder of local businessman Steven Roper. Denying nothing, Harvey agrees to tell his version of events in full.

WASTELAND is a bold take on a much-loved genre. A heist film, an underdog story and a thriller delivered with unexpected originality.”

Rowan Athale makes his feature directorial debut, with Mark Folingo (Moon, The King’s Speech) producing.

Wasteland will be debuting at TIFF next month, where it will be seeking distribution. With a great array of British talent behind and in front of cameras, hopefully it will be hitting theatres early next year. For now, enjoy these new images, which you can click to enlarge.
