2K Sports has announced today the release date for the next installment in their critically and commercially successful basketball title, get ready to hit the hardwood on October 2nd in the US and October 5th internationally.  NBA 2K13 is getting released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, Windows PC, and the PSP.  The Wii U version will come at launch or launch window (with more confusion to follow), but no mention of a Vita version.

What 2K had to say about the Wii U version (leading to said confusion):
“The Wii U version of the title will be available during the holiday season.”

What 2K had to say about the PS Vita version:

“………………………..”

Are you planning on getting NBA 2K13?  Well, if you throw money down for a pre-order and are getting it for the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 2K Sports is tossing in a little bonus for you.  For those who pre-order NBA 2K13 (on the specified platforms) will get the NBA All-Star DLC pack at no additional cost.  This pack will allow players to preview the 2013 NBA All-Star game in Houston by staging their own NBA All-Star experience with the Foot Locker 3-Point Shootout, BBVA Rising Stars Challenge and the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest.

Fancy mixing the old with the new?  Gamers will also be able to pit classic NBA players against the superstars of today in all three NBA All-Star modes as well.

The press release didn’t state whether or not the All-Star content would be available to those who didn’t pre-order the title (I’d just imagine an additional cost), but check back for more details about NBA 2K13 here at HeyUGuys Gaming.
