Over the past week, we’ve seen a wave of new creature featurettes introducing us to some of the multitude of monsters that are about to make their way to the big screen in Wrath of the Titans, released in cinemas this Friday.

We kicked off with the Chimera, followed by the Makhai, and most recently the Minotaur, and now Apple have a new featurette for us that gives us a look at the Cyclops, that one-eyed mythological creature envisaged here as an absolutely gigantic beast.

I think we’ve still got one more creature featurette left to go, lastly introducing Kronos, so be sure to check back in for when it hits (likely tomorrow).

Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson, and Danny Huston reprise their roles from the original Clash of the Titans, with Toby Kebbell, Rosamund Pike, Édgar Ramirez, and Bill Nighy joining them for this second time around.

Now, for a bit about the Cyclops:

“The foul, fearsome Cyclops are a breed of cannibal giants endowed with brute strength and a single eye in the middle of their foreheads. So powerful are these primitive monsters, Uranus imprisoned them in an underworld abyss where they were guarded by a dragon. Once unleashed from their dungeon by Zeus, the massive masons forged extraordinarily potent weapons for the gods – including Zeus’ lightning bolts, Hades’ helmet of invisibility and Poseidon’s trident – and joined the fight to overthrow the Titans.”

Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles) has gone behind the camera for the sequel, with a script co-written by David Johnson (TV’s The Walking Dead) and Dan Mazeau (who makes his debut, and has since been set to write the live-action Bleach adaptation).

Wrath of the Titans will be released in cinemas this Friday, 30th March, in 3D and IMAX 3D in the UK and US. For all the rest of our coverage for the film, you can click right here. And to see this new featurette in HD, you can head over to Apple here.
