Safety Not Guaranteed is one of the fourteen films selected to come to Sundance London at the end of next month, and it sounds brilliant in my books.
Having debuted at the US Sundance back in January to excellent reviews, getting picked up by Film District for a North American release this June, and I’m hoping that the same thing will happen once it plays here at the UK festival in a month’s time.
Colin Trevorrow makes his feature directorial debut, from a script by Derek Connolly (also making his feature debut), starring Aubrey Plaza (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Parks and Recreation) in the lead, along with Mark Duplass (co-director of Jeff, Who Lives At Home), Jeff Garlin (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Mary Lynn Rajskub (24), and Kristen Bell (Heroes).

The first trailer and poster have now gone online, courtesy of Apple, and judging from all the strong reviews it received at Sundance, I’m hoping that it will live up to expectations and be one of the best indie films of the year.
Safety Not Guaranteed will be playing at Sundance London at the end of next month, and will be released in US theatres on 8th June. With a bit of luck, we’ll have a UK release date to bring you soon too. For now, the first trailer and poster for your viewing pleasure.
