Last week we were treated to a handful of awesome things from Skyfall, the latest instalment in the globally successful Bond franchise. We saw the new UK poster, an explosive international TV spot, and the latest videoblog focusing on the new Bond girls.

Airing during last night’s Emmys in the US, we’ve now got the latest thirty-second TV spot, featuring plenty of action, a great interaction between Ralph Fiennes and Judi Dench, and Daniel Craig as the ever-brilliant and nonchalant star.

“In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”

Craig, Fiennes, and Dench are joined by an excellent cast, headed up Javier Bardem, Bérénice Marlohe, Naomie Harris, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory, and Ola Rapace.

Sam Mendes (American Beauty) is making his Bond debut behind the camera, directing from a script by Bond frequents Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, and one of my favourite writers, John Logan (Gladiator, Coriolanus).

Skyfall will be released in regular and IMAX theatres on 26th October here in the UK, followed by a 9th November release in the US. Tickets are already on sale on our shores, so if you want to be amongst the first to see this next month, be sure to book yours early. This is going to be immense. I can’t wait. For now, here’s the great new TV spot to feed your anticipation.
