Whether it’s Twin Peaks or The X-Files, an awful lot of TV shows are being resurrected right now. Not all of those we’ve seen so far have panned out (Heroes Reborn was recently cancelled after a single season), but one which definitely did well is 24: Redemption.

However, after yet another unsatisfying finale, there are no plans in place for Jack Bauer’s story to be wrapped up in the upcoming 24: Legacy. Instead, the plan is for the series to revolve around a military hero’s return to the U.S. and the trouble that follows him back – compelling him to ask CTU for help in saving his life, and stopping what potentially could be one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil. So, I guess that means no Kate?

Kate Morgan (played by Yvonne Strahovski) became a fan-favourite character in 24: Redemption, and the majority of fans were hoping that the next batch of episodes would revolve around her. Instead, it sounds like this is more of a reboot that continuation!

One show which will pick up after the events of its predecessor is the now confirmed Prison Break revival. Despite being busy in the DC Universe with The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell will reprise their roles, and while plot details haven’t been revealed, the series is set to address the showing way the show wrapped up.

It’s going to be interesting to see how both of these shows come together in the coming months, but Prison Break sounds a lot more exciting than Fox’s plans for the 24 franchise.
