Jameson Cult Film ClubIf you’re left unsatisfied with your local multiplex experience, with its piped in popcorn smell or neon clash and sticky floors you might want to cast an eye on a new film season in London put on by the Jameson Cult Film Club.

The capital has some amazing venues such as Somerset House and the varied locales of the Secret Cinema (unfortunately I can’t tell you much more about them…), and the JCFC have scouted some pretty impressive places to screen some of the finest films of the last 25 years. My personal favourite is the screening of Kubrick’s iconic chiller The Shining in Islington’s Union Chapel, which seems the perfect venue for a slow descent into madness.

Any excuse to see one of these outstanding films on the big screen is good enough for me, but the bonus of having a suitable location should make the experience all the more exciting.
