Capcom announced today that the new fighters for Street Fighter X Tekken—scheduled for release this fall, will be dropping earlier on consoles at the end of this month, July 31st. The 12 new playable characters will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360 for $19.99/£15.99/1600 Microsoft Points.

This DLC pack brings the roster of fighters up to a staggering 50, adding 6 characters from both universes.

If you were planning on picking up the PS Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken all first run retail copies will come with two DLC codes with the ability to transfer content to the PS3 version of the title. One code will have the 12 additional fighters and the other will give Vita players alternate costumes for the original 38 characters. Also if you pre-order the Vita version at select retailers you can secure alternate costumes for the 12 new fighters as well. All DLC content will be transferable between the PS3 and Vita versions, which may be a great incentive for some to re-purchase this title come the fall.
