The first teaser trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past was finally released earlier today (you can find it by clicking here), and it’s quite something, eh? Unlike the recent Captain America: The Winter Solider trailer, it doesn’t feature any huge special effects – director Bryan Singer recently confirmed that the majority simply aren’t ready at this point – but it does put the spotlight on the story and characters.

However, while 20th Century Fox are clearly saving the big reveal of the Sentinels for the first full-length trailer, there were still an awful lot of noteworthy moments in this first look at footage from X-Men: Days of Future Past. Here are ten of the biggest that we noticed, but if there’s anything we’ve forgotten or any you may not agree with, then be sure to let us know in the comment section below!

If you missed our post the other day, you can check out our ‘Ten Things We Noticed in the Captain America: The Winter Soldier Trailer’ right here.

10. Bishop

Bishop

Cable seemingly won’t be in X-Men: Days of Future Past (they’re instead saving him for Jeff Wadlow’s planned X-Force adaptation), but if there’s only one time travelling mutant who should be included in this release, it’s Bishop! In an alternate timeline – similar to the one being used in this movie, perhaps hinting that his complicated backstory is being folded into this reality – Lucas Bishop’s world has been torn apart by Sentinels and mutants are imprisoned in concentration camps. The “M” tattoo over his eye is not there by choice; it’s what all mutants are given in his timeline. How exactly this will all play into the events of Days of Future Past is unclear, but it’s obvious that the fan-favourite character is being used to further show off what a bleak future awaits the X-Men if Wolverine is unable to alter the past.
