8. Beast No More?
When we last saw Hank McCoy, an experiment gone wrong had caused him to mutate further, truly becoming a Beast in the process. However, a decade later and he appears to be back to his human self, despite the fact that we’ve clearly seen actor Nicholas Hoult looking considerably furrier (and bluer) in other trailers and stills. So, what’s the explanation?
Well, according to Bryan Singer, his mutation is now under control, and he only turns into Beast when provoked. Sort of like a werewolf Hulk! This is a change which is sure to be controversial with fans, as the fact that Hank can’t simply return to his human self at will has always been a huge part of Hank McCoy’s character, and such a drastic change demands a better explanation in the movie itself.
