4. Civil War
Civil War is rightly viewed as Marvel’s greatest ever event comic, so it should come as no surprise that so many fans want to see it adapted to live-action. Marvel face a problem in the respect that Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four are off limits to them, but despite the huge role they all played in the comic book version, there’s no doubt that it could be brought to the big screen.
Captain America and Iron Man are the main focal points, and if Marvel spend the next few years fleshing out their cinematic universe with even more characters (the Netflix series’ should help with that), this could very well happen. When a Superhero Registration Act is introduced, Steve and Tony find themselves on opposing sides, leading to the superhero community being split in two as Cap turns against the government in a bid to protect the civil liberties of his fellow masked heroes.
